Big Family News

Saturday May 8, 2010 was an awesome day!  Christine received her endowments!!!! Yay....CONGRATS!!!!  It was so cool and very emotional for the whole family.  Especially David's parents, Saturday was the day that they finally had all of their children in the Temple.  What a major milestone.  I only hope that one day I can raise my children just as the Cornwell's have raised theirs, righteous and worthy to enter the Lord's House.  After the endowment session we all went to Five Guys Burgers for dinner, man that place is so yummy! :)

David and I then went home and he took one of his finals and then we went to see Iron Man 2.  It was a great movie and then we went home and I gave David an awesome haircut.  I must tell you I did pretty good job...I will have to post pictures later!  Then we got a phone call at about 10:30pm from Tiffany....she called to tell us that she was PREGNANT!!!!! Yay were going to be an Uncle and Aunt in December sometime.  She is due on December 22nd....MERRY CHRISTMAS!  Her and TJ wanted to surprise their parents on Mother's Day, but they decided that a day early wouldn't hurt.  I am so happy for the two of them, they deserve this!  They are going to be amazing parents!  And I am very excited to be an Aunt!!! :)

Date Night

So David and I went on our first date night last Tuesday since we have been home.  We started out at the Temple and did an endowment session.  It was the first endowment session I had done since my endowment, so I was really nervous, but all ended up being good!  It was a great time and I learned so much more.  I love learning about the gospel and I look forward to the next time that David and I get to go!  I am very greatful that we have a Temple so close and we plan to take the oppritunity to go as often as we can.  Right now the goal is once a week! :)  After the Temple we treated our selves to Outback.  It's one of my favorites and David and I have never eaten there together, so it made for a very special night with my HUSBAND!!! By the way I just love saying my HUSBAND!!!

See the menu below, we took a picture outside the temple too, but somehow it didn't get saved in David's phone.  Next time I will be in charge of taking the picture. :)

A New Job!

Hey Dear blog readers,
I finally got a job!!!! I was out of a job a little over a month and I had an interview at least once every week. So if you ever find yourself jobless...it is very important to start looking for a new job right away!!! I started looking the day Ridgeway closed thier doors.
The company I am going to work for now is called ESI (Engineered Structures, Inc.) they are a general contractor and they do work all over the US. I am so excited for this new adventure in my life. I think this company is going to be a great company to work for. The job description is basically the same thing I did for Ridgeway, the major difference is Ridgeway was a subcontractor and ESI is a general contractor, so I will working for a company quite a bit bigger!
Remember that the Lord works in mysterious ways, that He will be there for you though out all your trials! He has a plan for each one of us, but it is up to each of us to keep in tune with his promptings. I have a strong testimony to the law of tithing and a strong testimony to the power of prayer and fasting, all due to the recent trials I have had to face.
So here is to a great year....a new job and a wonderful wedding!

Job Hunt

Well this week has certianly been an interesting week. I was working away and all of sudden out of no where on Wednesday I hear that the company will be closing thier doors on Friday. I immediately went to my boss to find out if the rumor was true...well long story short....it was! We were to come to work the next day and gather all our personal belongings. So everyone that worked at Ridgeway is now out of job and on the hunt for a new one. I am currently looking for a job in an office enviroment. My last job I was an adminatrative assistant.

I have faith that the Heavenly Father will take care of me. I know that I have something valuable to someone and I will search high and low until I find something. If any of you know of a job please let me know. At this point I am not going to be super picky, I just want to get a job so that I can make sure all the bills are paid! I am also very lucky to have a finace who is very loving, paitent and supportive through this difficult time!

Dani Gardner's blog entry talks about Adversity and I found some comfort in it, thank you for the preview for what is to come in Relief Society! :)

Anybody that needs family pictures, engagement pictures or just for fun pictures, let me know and I will give you Tyson's info! He does a good job for a good price!

Bridesmaid Dress Shopping....UGH!!!

So last night my 4 bridesmaid and I got together and went dress shopping. Well geez that is just an interesting experience. We decided to head over to David's Bridal (after we had been at the mall for 1.5hrs), we tried some dresses on and the one I really liked on all the girls was so cute...but guess what???...they don't sell it in the color I want!!!! Who has you try on a dress without first making sure it comes in the color you want??? So that was really frustrating...so I guess we are now on the hunt for a seamstress to make them for me, cause I really liked the style! The problem with a seamstress is I have like 75 days till the wedding, my maid of honor will gone the entire month of Feb. and I don't want to spend more than $100 on each dress.

Above is the picture of the dress we really liked...if someone makes them for me I will be having them made with sleeves for sure! If I can find them somewhere else in dark purple I will just get some black short sleeve jackets for them.

On the lighter side of things, it was super cool to get together with all girls and it was nice because all of them got to finally meet each other! And of course, at least we found the general style all of us liked! :) All and all a good experience! Much thanks to Galixi, Janel, Christine & Tiffany!~

The Search Is On-Wedding Stuff

Planning a wedding: Fun....stressing (only a little)...FUN....
So the search is on for the following...any ideas or suggestions would be helpful dear blog readers.
Bridesmaid Dresses (w/sleeves)(custom or bought)
DJ
Photographer
Flowers (fake or real??)
Linens
Centerpieces
Grooms Ring
Groomsmen Attire
I'm sure there is more I just can't think of it at the moment.

So the stress part not so bad for me...well maybe a little tiny bit, and David not stressing at all but he has to deal with me, no bueno for him. Last night he was the butt end of all the stress. We met up with a DJ (DJ Dave), and he brought to my attention all the detail there is to plan for just the reception. Well poor David was getting hammered by me last night. Everything David said just irritated me, and there is no reason it should have. The poor guy, there was no winning for him last night. I finally did say I was sorry but there is no reason for me to treat my fiance in such a way! So publicly I would like to say....DAVID I AM SORRY! I will try to do better and remember that David is a much a part of this wedding as I am and that in 3 months from now, none of this stress will matter! :)

Catch Up

Ok lately, I have not taken any pictures. I am a slacker, I didn't even take any on Christmas Day! So quick run down on all the happenings.

Friday, December 11, 2009
Dad and I went down to Utah to attend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert. We left Boise at 11am arrived in Woodscross (Marisa's sisters) at about 3:30pm. Hung out with the Pugmire's and all of Marisa's family until it was time to head into Salt Lake. Walked around Temple Square and saw all the beautiful lights and then headed to the Conference Center and watched the concert. It was a reallly good concert...my favorite part was the organ soloist. Right after the concert Dad and I decided to head home because a big storm was supposed to come thru during the night, well a big storm did start coming thru about the time we got just outside of Tremonton, UT and it snowed all the rest of the way home to Meridian. We left Salt Lake at 9:45pm and we arrived in Meridian at 3 am. It made for a long day, but Dad and I had lots of fun!

Saturday, December 12, 2009
Casey and Caroline were sealed in the Boise Temple. The 12th happened to be there 1 year anniversary. I am so happy for them and I am so glad that they were able to be sealed together, what a wonderful blessing to them and their future family. After the sealing they came out of the Temple and had their pictures taken. It was snowing and I cannot wait to see how the pictures turned out. I'm sure they are beautiful. Caroline was such a trooper, she was walking around in the snow with opened toe shoes, just so she could get some really great pictures.

Thursday, December 17, 2009
We had a Relief Society Meeting at my house. We made hot chocolate and then went caroling to the members of our branch presidency. There were 10-13 girls, which is a wonderful turn out and we had tons of fun together.

Saturday, December 19, 2009
The big shopping day.....YAY!!!! So Mom, Galixi, Cathy (David's Mom) and I all went wedding dress shopping. We started at Margene's Bridal at 11:30am. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours, went and got lunch at Applebees and then went to Heartfelt Bridal at 2:15pm. I loved dresses at both places, but the one that was the tear jerker was at Heartfelt Bridal. It also happened to be the last dress I tried on for the day. I am so happy with it and it so me. I cannot wait for David to see it on March 25, 2010. Thank you for your help and support Mom, Galixi & Cathy.

This day was BUSY!!! I worked from 8am to noon. Got off work, had to finish up some last minute shopping, picked up David, went to US Bank, Maverick, Idaho Central Credit Union and then Red Robin to meet up with Galixi and my Mom for lunch. Galixi and I did our gift exchange. She got me a beautiful ring (pictures to come later), I have wanted a ring very simular to the one she got me for about 5 years. It is a big square Amethyst (fashion ring). Then went to Mom's picked up some gifts she wanted me to wrap for her, went home and crashed for about 2 hours. Went to the Cornwell dwelling and had pizza and watched Polar Express, went home made dough, wrapped a few presents and crashed!

Friday, December 25, 2009
